Day 1: Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre

Your day begins with a morning departure from your hotel in Sandakan or a meet-up at Sandakan Airport. From there, you’ll embark on a journey to the world-renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. The Orangutans' Second Chance
The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre was created to rehabilitate orphaned and displaced orangutans. These primates, affected by logging and deforestation, find a second chance here. After a satisfying lunch, your adventure leads you to the Rainforest Discovery Centre, a project developed by the Sabah Forestry Department. A Birdwatcher's Paradise
The Rainforest Discovery Centre has become one of the prime bird-watching spots in Sabah. Take a leisurely stroll through the lush forest or traverse the 150-meter-long canopy walkway, perched 28 meters above the ground. Day 2: Gomantong Cave and Kinabatangan River

Your day begins with breakfast, followed by an exploration of the Gomantong Caves. These caves are famous for being the largest limestone and bird nest caves in Sabah. Home to millions of bats and swiftlets, they offer a fascinating glimpse into the natural world.
Witness the Bird Nest Collection
If you visit during the right season, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the local people collecting bird nests from these caves. It’s a centuries-old tradition that continues to thrive in this unique environment.
Kinabatangan River - A Wildlife Sanctuary
Continuing your journey, you’ll reach Bilit by the Kinabatangan River. Here, at 1600 hours, you’ll embark on a river cruise in search of wildlife. The area is teeming with diverse species, and you may have the chance to spot proboscis monkeys, orangutans, macaques, pygmy elephants, various bird species, and other wildlife.
A Memorable Evening
After your river cruise, an early dinner will be served at the lodge. The tranquil ambiance of the jungle at dusk adds to the magic of this experience. Following dinner, you’ll return to Sandakan and be dropped off at Hotel Hsiang Garden for a restful night.
Day 3: Transfer to Sandakan Airport
Your adventure concludes on Day 3 with breakfast at your hotel. You’ll be picked up and transferred to Sandakan Airport, marking the end of this unforgettable journey through Borneo’s natural wonders.
